High Point women’s basketball continues its dominance in the Big South, capturing its second straight conference championship to secure a spot in the NCAA Tournament. With the victory, the Panthers earned their third appearance in the “Big Dance” and are hoping to carry that momentum with them into the postseason.

When heading to the conference tournament High Point had one goal in mind. That goal was to walk out as conference champions and be awarded an automatic bid to the “Big Dance.” For the Panthers this dream became a reality as the team made the tournament for the second consecutive season, doing so in head coach Flynn Clayman’s first year after the departure of Alan Huss. The High Point University men’s and women’s basketball teams will compete on Thursday, March 20 in the 2025 NCAA Tournament as both earned automatic bids from its victories in the Big South Conference tournament. It will be the first tournament appearance for the HPU men’s and the second for the HPU women’s in program history.
